The Fantastic Mr. Fox – Review

Based on the children’s books by Roald Dahl, The Fantastic Mr. Fox tells the tale of a fox who falls back into old thieving habbits at the cost of home, family and friends. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of the current stop motion trends that are employed by Tim Burton, and the guys that do Wallace and Gromit. I can easily see and appreciate the amount of work put into the development of these films, but I just can’t get into them. In it’s favour though, The Fantastic Mr. Fox hosts an all star line up of great voice talents including George Clooney, Meryl Streep, and Bill Murray. It’s easy to watch, feeling almost like a children’s book come to life. Bottom Line, if you’re a fan of this genre of film, liked the Wallace and Gromit movies, or are under the age of 10, you’ll probably love Mr. Fox’s bird stealing adventures.
