(500) Days of Summer – Review
December 28, 2009 in Comedy
500 Days of Summer is not a love story, it’s a story about love. An unknown Marc Webb directs Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Lookout, Third Rock From the Sun) as Tom Hansen, a young man who falls in love with a woman (Zooey Deschanel) who doesn’t believe in love. Honestly, this film was not what I was expecting… I actually enjoyed it. It stirred memories and emotions long forgotten, chronicling an undefined relationship, doomed from the first unexpected kiss. Both leads deliver great performances with wonderful chemistry, complimented by an excellent supporting cast. 500 Days of Summer may not be the type of film you’re gonna run out and buy, but it’s definately worth seeing at least once.
Currently available on DVD and Blu Ray
