House At The End Of The Street – Trailer
March 29, 2012 in Trailers
House at the End of the Street is directed by Mark Tonderai (a few unknown titles to his credit) and starts Elisabeth Shue (Adventures in Babysitting) and Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games). It’s about a mother and daughter who move to a new town and find themselves living next door to a house where a young girl murdered her parents. When the daughter befriends the surviving son, she learns the story is far from over.
So after watching this trailer, I can honestly say there is nothing really here that catches my interest. The trailer actually bored me by the halfway mark. I mean c’mon, how hard is it to captivate your audience for 2 minutes!? What does HATEOTS have? Elisabeth Shue, probably the original intended headliner, but with the recent success of The Hunger Games, Jennifer Lawrence will be getting all the attention. It’s also being released for the Halloween season, so it may do well as most horror movies do when released during that month.
The other thing that sparks a cause for interest is that it’s filmed in the city of Ottawa, Ontario…. up here in Canada… where I live! It’s a very small spark, but we seem to be seeing more and more productions coming up here every year.
